An artistic scholarship for Polish artists in Bulgaria
SOUNDS OF BELA RECHKA

New Culture Foundation (Bulgaria) in the cooperation with „Krzyżowa” Foundation for Mutual Understanding in Europe (Poland) and with the support of Polish Cultural Institute in Sofia would like to invite young artists and students from Poland to apply for one – month scholarship in Bulgaria, in the village of Gorna Bela Rechka.

Duration of the scholarship: 01-31.08.2008,
Place: Gorna Bela Rechka, cultural center of New Culture Foundation (www.novakultura.org)
The village is a part of the Natural Park „Vrachanski Balkan” which is part of the longest mountain in Bulgaria – Stara Planina. It has around 80 inhabitants, many goats, good local food, two small rivers. Main developments in the area are connected with the memory and oral history projects of the New Culture Foundation who is organizer of the annual GOATMILK festival (www.goatmilk-fest.org)

Program: graphic, painting and drawing workshop

In frames of the scholarship we provide:
- reimbursement of the travel costs,
- accommodation and full board,
- pocket money in the amount of 200 leva (100 Euro),
- art materials for realisation of the program,
- art materials for realisation of an inividual exhibition,
- artistic and workshop supervision,
- exhibition’s catalogue in Bulgarian and english, part of the project THE BELL of the New Culture Foundation
- study visit in Sofia (Academy of Fine Arts, Galeries)

Conditions for application:
Candidates should provide following documents:
- artistic CV in word format with a photograph of the candidate,
- artistic documentation in the field of graphic, painting and drawing (reproductions in the JPG and TIF format)
- personal data: date of birth, e-mail, phone number

Deadline for application: 15th of May 2008

Results will be announced on 24th of June.

„Krzyżowa” Foundation for Mutual Understanding in Europe (Poland) in the cooperation with New Culture Foundation (Bulgaria) would like to invite artists and students from Northwestern Bulgaria to apply for one – month scholarship in Poland.

Duration of the scholarship: 01-31.08.2008,
Place: International Youth Meeting Centre of the „Krzyżowa” Foundation for Mutual Understanding in Europe; Krzyżowa, Poland
Theme: “Sfumato”
Program: graphic, painting and drawing workshop

In frames of the scholarship we provide:

- pocket money in the amount of 500,00 PLN (140 Euro),
- art materials for realisation of the program,
- art materials for realisation of an inividual exhibition,
- artistic and workshop supervision,
- exhibition’s catalogue in polish and english,
- study visit in Wroclaw (Academy of Fine Arts, Galeries)

Conditions for application:
Candidates should provide following documents:
