A project aiming to connect and give a voice to the small villages in Europe, that often stay “hidden”, anonymous and isolated.
11 people from 6 countries (Bulgaria, Poland, Czech Republic, Netherlands, Italy and Ireland) participate in the first workshop in Gorna Bela Rechka, September 2003. Three research teams, each formed by a storyteller, psychologist and a web designer, document (photo and video) the sounds of the village and the personal stories of the local people. Six main topics are under research – food, meeting points, people, nature, beliefs and dreams, changes. An online portrait of the village is created. In May 2004 the GOATMILK festival of memories is born.
