ENERGIA (2013-2014) – anthropological theater in Bela Rechka

A theatre-anthropological project developed by the Greek theater director Stamatis Efstathiou  Energia or en ergo (“εν έργω” from ancient Greek) means  being in the process of work. It is the annual gathering of people closely related to Atropos theatre work  in order to work intensively during one month in a place far away from civilization.  In the summer of 2013 and 2014 the project was situated in Bela Rechka. It included interaction, singing and cooking with the local people and final performance in the village on the topics of Waiting and Animalismus (inspired by Animal Farm by Orwel). Bela Rechka hosted Greek, Russian, Polish and Bulgarian artists.
