The Canadian-Iranian Photographer Babak Salari spent a lot of time in Bela Rechka between 2009 and 2011 and conducted 3 summer workshops in creative photography meant to train both beginners and advanced in the technical and artistic aspects of photography (how to control the camera, explore different qualities of light, make proper use of the lens and, most importantly, learn about the creative role of composition in the visual arts and how to use the medium of photography to express feeling and tell a story). Advanced level students could concentrate on the social aspects of photography and create a body of personal or academic work in Bela Rechka’s friendly and open village atmosphere. All workshops finished with public presentations in the festival building in the village.
Babak Salari made a new photography workshop in Varshetz during the GOATMILK Festival 2015. More information for his next projects here.
